What is Thingomobiz.com? It’s a powerful search engine designed to promote and extend the reach of local businesses, by increasing their online presence and connecting them directly with consumers. In each Thingomobiz community, all the businesses are listed free of charge. For a small fee, businesses also have the opportunity to upgrade their listings with additional information. Expanded listings are available starting at $25 per month.

After selecting a community — Eureka, MO for example — users are taken to the main search page. To promote our paid listings, five random businesses with expanded listings are shown above the keyword and category search options. Users can limit their keyword search results to only show companies offering a coupon. A drop-down menu allows users to also search by business category.

Even the search results on Thingomobiz.com are designed to promote our advertisers. For example, if we search for the category ‘automotive’, we get 32 results. Notice how the four automotive businesses with an expanded listing are shown first. Although every business is listed for free, the free listings are restricted to one category — and zero keywords. Because our categories are necessarily broad, it really pays to buy an expanded listing, which gives you access to an unlimited number keywords and keyword combinations. A list of keywords can describe each aspect of your business in great detail – much more so than a simple category. Therefore, paid listings have the ability to draw additional customers that may be searching for a specific word, phrase, product or service.”

For example, a category search for ‘automotive’ produces 32 results, but a keyword search for ‘oil change’ only produces two – Midwest Motors and Valvoline Instant Oil Change. In this instance, Midwest Motors gained a possible sale by advertising on Thingomobiz.com – simply because it has the keywords ‘oil change’ in its expanded listing. Many of the other businesses in the ‘automotive’ category may offer an oil change service, but no one would ever know about it.

In addition to unlimited keywords, there are many other benefits for an expanded listing on Thingomobiz.com. Let’s take a look at a business that’s taking advantage of all these features – K1 Creative. The web site lists the name, address, phone number and category of every business in the community, free of charge. Paid businesses gain the ability to include their logo, a link to their website, a summary of their services or products, unlimited keywords and categories to enhance their search ranking, an online coupon, customer testimonials, and an interactive Google map with directions to or from that location.

By clicking on the coupon, users can print themselves a copy to redeem at your business. This is a great way to draw additional foot traffic into your business and increase sales. The coupon can display up to 3 images — a product, logo, and barcode — and up to five different offers.

Paid users gain access to our easy-to-use administration panel. After logging into the administration panel, paid users may modify their listing by adding or removing information from a list of simple text boxes, each conveniently labeled – including an example. Once the user clicks the blue update button, their changes are instantly visible to the public on Thingomobiz.com. It’s just that simple! The administration panel on Thingomobiz.com allows you to edit your business information quickly and easily.

All of these features are available starting at less than a dollar a day! Currently, two subscriptions are available. The first subscription is a minimum 1-year commitment, billed monthly. The second is a month-to-month subscription, which you may cancel at any time. Prices may vary, depending on the community in which your business is located. Subscription payments are handled via Paypal, which uses industry-standard security measures to keep your information secure and private.

As we’ve demonstrated, Thingomobiz.com is easy to use, powerful, and affordable! Most importantly, it’s a valuable tool for local residents to find the products and services they need within their own community…and to save money while doing it! Our end users are already in a buying mood, since they’re searching for businesses with coupons. As a result, we think Thingomobiz.com offers greater value for your business than other forms of advertising.

There’s a growing trend to shop locally and support your own community. Our slogan – ‘Give Where You Live’ – exemplifies our commitment to the communities we serve. Thingomobiz.com — bridging the gap between local businesses and consumers!

K1 Creative’s effort to promote local business – Thingomobiz - continues to evolve. “There’s not a week that goes by that we don’t tweak the site, each time trying to make it more efficient” said Wayne Kissel, President of K1 Creative. We’ve been very fortunate to have a core group of businesses who share our vision and who are working to help promote Thingomobiz as well. One such business is The UPS Store owned by Frank and Carol Phillips. “Carol has been on board right from the start.” Kissel said. “She has played an important role in the site’s development and innovations.” The UPS Store offers a wide variety of business services including mailboxes, printing, shipping, passport photos, internet access, and notary services among others. “They are truly a one-stop source for business owners and Carol makes sure that business owners know all that Thingomobiz and K1 Creative have to offer. Thanks Carol!
